Pet Wellness

Our pets are family too and during our busy days, pet wellness is on our minds.

Maintaining a life of exercise, play, and good nourishment for our pets is important.

Dogs should be able to run or walk for at least an hour especially the ones over 20 pounds. They should be fed a good, wholesome dog food - preferably the kind that you can buy from your local veterinarian. It is a bit more expensive but you will save in the long run.

Cats should be groomed on a daily basis to keep their coats shiny and healthy. As with dogs, they should eat good food. Dry food is better especially for male cats. Canned food has more salt which can lead to major urinary tract issues later in life. They also need their exercise so they don't grow into fat cats since they sleep for about 18 hours a day.

It is also a good idea to teach your kids how to take care of the pets starting at a young age.

They can groom them, feed them, help bathe them, play with them, and watch when you are clipping the nails.

Giving the dog a bath outside on a warm summer could turn into quite the family event.
